After 13 Wins Tiger Still Keeps Going

by

Tiger Woods PGA ChampThere is big news in the golfing world. Tiger Woods has just won his 13th title. I’m sure all of you golf fans are enthralled with the Tiger. After failing to win in Scotland (perhaps he was too focused on becoming a Daddy?), Tiger still managed to win the PGA Championship. His fierce win was a surprise to golfing fans despite being deemed one of the greatest golfers in the game by players and fans alike.

Things looked grim for Tiger on the back nine. At one point he had a five point lead. However, that diminished to where he led by just one. Tiger was probably inspired to keep going and win by the presence of his little girl, Sam Alexis, and his wife, Elin. At just two months old, little Sam Woods has finally gotten the chance to see Daddy as a victor. The doting Papa said the experience was surreal and gave him “chills” knowing his baby was waiting for him to come to the scorer’s tent to see them after the victory.

Prior to play, Woods already had a three point lead. He ended 13-0, which is considered one of the greatest and best closers for the sport. Tiger admitted he had been following a plan he had created prior to the game, which would ensure that he would keep his lead. He also admitted that he strayed from that plan when it suited him, improvising when necessary.

After playing in the sweltering heat and heading down the long round to victory you can bet Tiger is glad he has won. He’s probably also glad its time for him to go home and enjoy a little relaxation with his wife and baby Sam, before he has to come out and do it all over again, on his quest to match (or beat) Jack Nicklaus, who won 18 PGA titles. As Tiger says, he just has “five” more to go!
